Last year, we added the Pavillion. This year, we’re adding eleven miles of trail. We need you to join in and support the Cadillac Pathway!
Trails are really about people. The Cadillac Pathway has been a fixture in our community for decades, and we strongly believe that offering our area a world-class recreational experience is something worth investing in. We want families to unplug and unwind in nature, no matter how they choose to do so. The Cadillac Pathway is changing to allow for more users and more modes of enjoyment than ever before, and that is a big deal.
With more folks in the woods, we’ve added amenities like an expanded parking lot, solar lighting, a Pavillion with a gorgeous fireplace, and added events like the Bear Claw Epic. Now, we’re taking that spirit of improvement into the woods and adding eleven miles of new singletrack! That process started three years ago with a comprehensive trail proposal. After submitting the proposal to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, it made the journey from desk-to-desk before ultimately getting approved.
Now, we’re working with local businesses and organizations to finalize funding for the construction of a trail that we can be proud of for years to come. We’re going to get this right, and we’re using all of our resources and contacts to make sure we have the tools, materials, and support to give Cadillac something mountain bikers are going to love. We’re confident that adding great trails will balance traffic and improve the trail experience for everyone. The biggest thing you can do right now is get involved. Become a NMMBA member and make sure you keep your eyes peeled for ways to get your hands dirty this summer!
