Cadillac Pathway Pavilion

We’re well on our way to a much-need amenity at the Cadillac Pathway. We’re just a few steps away from a completed pavilion this winter!

Construction is well underway at Seeley Road, with the skeleton of the new structure now capping off an expanded parking lot that was added this fall. That gives more individuals and families more room to park and make use of the trails as we turn to nordic skiing, fat biking, and snowshoeing on our two loops. Grooming will start whenever we get a solid six inches of snow which, looking at the ten-day forecast, may not be very far off!

Expect to see the pavilion progress along similar lines over the next three to four weeks. The metal roof will go up this winter, giving us some shelter between rides and ski excursions. The other finishing touches are more weather dependent. We may not see the concrete slab, wrapped beams and interior ceiling done until spring. The fireplace, too, will be a 2019 project, be were extremely proud of all that we’ve got done this year!

Of course, none if it would have been possible without the Cadillac Leadership group for organizing fundraisers and identifying this as a great investment in our community and recreational experience. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has also been a huge supporter and we couldn’t have gotten the pavilion, parking lot, or winter trails off the ground without their help.

This winter is going to be a blast, and on the far side of it is another season of great changes and fun. Remember, you can support winter grooming efforts by picking up a badge right here.
