Winter Sports on the Cadillac Pathway
WINTER USE – WINTER SPORTS TRAIL *ALL NEW* December 7, 2016
We are excited to announce a new groomed trail system for ALL users – the Winter Sports Trail (WST). Whether you are a trail runner, dog lover, snowshoer or a fat biker you now have somewhere to go at the Cadillac Pathway once the snow flies. This trail system will be separate from the cross country ski trail and will be groomed with a roller to compact the snow down. The width of the trail will be approximately 3 feet wide. The WST will only exist and open for use if we have at least 6 inches of snow on the ground. Also, the WST will cease to exist after April 1, 2017, but will re-open the following winter. Please refrain from using the trail in the summer months to avoid jeopardizing the grooming and continued use of the system the following winter season. The WST will start and end at the existing trailhead for the Cadillac Pathway. The two trail systems will be clearly marked with banners hanging over the entrance. You can do the full 11 mile trail or turn back early for a shorter distance. The terrain of the trail will be good for all levels. The WST will be marked with confidence and mile markers and will intersect the cross country ski trail several times. At each crossing the WST will be marked with a “Yield” sign. Please yield to cross country skiers. Also please refrain from walking, running or biking on the groomed cross country track set. We’re SUPER excited to introduce this new winter trail system to the Cadillac Pathway trail system, so please come out and enjoy it.
