XC Skiing Etiquette

Please observe the signs posted on the trail! 

 

We request NO snowshoeing, NO walking, NO running, & NO fat tire biking on the groomed ski trail.

Winter Trail Rules:

1. Follow posted rules.

2. Be courteous and helpful to fellow skiers.

3. Dogs must be on a 6 foot leash.

4. Downhill skiers have the right of way.

5. Slower skiers should yield the track for faster skiers.

6. Keep to the right when meeting oncoming skiers.

7. Keep clear of the track when not skiing. Don’t stop at the bottom of hills or on blind intersections.

8. If you walk or snowshoe on the trail, please do so at the edge of the ski trail and out of the track.

9. Repair trail damage from falls.

10. Carry out all rubbish.

11. The trails are meant to be one-way; please follow the directional arrows.

 


About The Pathway
The Cadillac Pathway is a multi-use, non-motorized recreation trail open for users year-round. The Pathway is on State owned lands managed by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR). The DNR manages state lands for many uses, including promoting sustainable healthy forests, improving wildlife habitat, and providing recreational trail opportunities. Maintenance of the trail is provided by Northern Michigan Mountain Bike Association (NMMBA) and MDNR. Please Note: A Recreation Passport is required to park at the Cadillac Pathway Trail head!
